Research direction

Research beyond the application.

Project Helios begins with biomedical information, and the questions researchers ask of it.

Perspective

Scientific information grows across journals, datasets and specialized fields. Understanding it requires researchers to connect findings, examine evidence and distinguish relationships from assumptions.

Project Helios explores computational systems that could assist this work. Its research direction includes biomedical information, biomarkers, disease mechanisms and scientific relationships. Glaucoma is one important area, within a broader objective of general-purpose biomedical intelligence.

The work is exploratory. A useful research system must make evidence and uncertainty easier to examine. It should support scientific inquiry without presenting an untested computational output as a clinical conclusion.

This overview describes Terranile’s direction. It is not an announcement of completed projects or published research.
