A property listing tells you that something is available. It does not establish who owns it, whether the documents are reliable, or how the transaction will be completed. Those questions belong to the infrastructure surrounding the listing.
AVAN is being built around verification, professional involvement, bank-held escrow and accountable transaction records. These elements work together: a verified identity alone does not establish a verified title, and a payment alone does not establish that a milestone has been completed.
Building this infrastructure means treating documentation, controls and evidence as part of the product. The larger objective is to make real estate easier to evaluate and trust for individuals, diaspora buyers, developers and institutions.
